the local community

We have begun work with a local organisation to establish a service center, initially this will operate as a waste collection and sorting center as well as a moped garage. These enterprises have been selected as they are deemed to have the greatest initial impact on their lifestyles. In time, this operation can be expanded to meet future requirements.

Our education events will initially revolve around waste management and fishing & farming practices but will be expanded into sustainable forestry and the establishment of local businesses.

Closer to home, the local population will play an integral part in the resort operations.

Not only working at the resort, but we will also draw on their deep knowledge of the area to run fishing trip, guide diving tours and lead surfing groups.

The people that previously worked the land will not be evicted, rather, they will be invited back to the land to continue their livelihoods. In return, they will also tend the resorts gardens, forests and food plots. These members of the community will be given a more detailed education into sustainable farming practices.
